About tangerine:

Gail Brown has been a passionate advocate for the study of art, and its empowering potential, for more than 30 years, as a student and a teacher. In an age where our experience is saturated with visual imagery, the study of art and its makers provides an extraordinary language to engage with and analyse what we look at.

The subject provides a rigorous and wide-ranging investigation of some of the greatest aspects of human achievement and endeavour. To be able to converse and discuss the value and meaning, philosophies and theories, relating to these endeavours is why Gail is excited to be launching a new venture in Tangerine Art Talks. She hopes to reach a wide audience who are keen to explore and deepen their interest in art and the impulses behind its creation.

Gail is keen to support art educators in schools to foster the skill of critical enquiry and confident self-expression in their students through an understanding of how art fits into the human struggle to express and understand itself.  When travel restrictions allow, Gail will be offering a bespoke Art History on Holiday service where she will come and meet you for a day of art, wherever you are holidaying, taking you to visit local museums and sites of interest to top up your cultural tan.
